Honey Roasted Peach & Apple Pie

Hello! I decided to try speaking in photos this time around. A co-worker saved me a whole bunch of ripe peaches and another suggested I bake a pie, so ta daaaa! Enjoy.

Date a Girl Who Bakes

Date a girl who bakes.

Date a girl who checks her pantry for ingredients before she checks her closet for an outfit. Who will grab for an apron before a new dress. Who finds the most comfort in sweatpants because she'll get flour all over them anyhow.

Date a girl who finds peace in the early morning hours of baking, when everyone's asleep and the world is quiet. Who listens for the sound of the oven timer and finds no need for rushing. Who embraces every little hum and ting the house makes when it's absolutely still.

Date a girl who has the patience for making bread; who loves how long it takes to knead, rest, rise, and knead again. Who has the patience to bake a cake from scratch and frost it, layer by layer. Date her for the way she finds rhyme and reason in the way things are made and why they take just the right amount of time.

Date a girl who knows her hobby isn't helping her waistline but will reach over for a snack anyway. Who understands that there's never a bad time for indulging, especially if no one's watching. And then she'll remind herself to exercise sometime soon.

Homemade Sweet Bread & Nutella

Is there any better way to enjoy a cold January day?

I love making bread. I've been asked before 'why make bread if you can just buy it'? Here's why: it's the most therapeutic thing ever. And it's so good smearing homemade Nutella on it when it's hot out of the oven.

Bread is one of those things to make if you have a day home to yourself since you've got to let it rise.

Homemade Chocolate Hazelnut Spread / Nutella

This one's been on my To Do List for a long long time now and I can finally cross it off!

Homemade Nutella is much much easier than you think and so very good.
